Congratulations to Stephanie on being awarded the Pathfinders Monthly Honours for February.
Stephanie Castelete-Tyrrell has been a member of Pathfinders since July 2020. Some of you will have met her on zoom events already but may not know that she is an established film-maker.

Stephanie has been recognised this month for directing, producing, filming and starring in a documentary which is currently featuring in a number of film festivals. Living In Fear highlights how the lockdown has affected disabled people by filming over a period of ten days. Her documentary captures the somewhat untold story of how accessing things like care, work, daily essentials have been affected in recent times.

The trailer which you can see here: https://vimeo.com/453269551 gives you a glimpse of how she has navigated life during the pandemic. Finding a distribution company is the next step – we cannot wait to see the full-length version!

Stephanie told us: “My idea for the documentary was stimulated by my own fears and struggles during the pandemic. I knew that I wasn’t the only person experiencing difficulties and I wanted to find out how other disabled people were feeling, to get their voices heard and to raise awareness. I am thrilled to receive the monthly honour award.”
