Panelists for PA Training Programme

Our new training programme will support PAs to learn how to better work with their employer to support them as a person with a muscle-weakening condition. It will be taught across thirteen modules, delivered individually and as part of an online conference.  We are looking for paid panellists

Youth Development Project Lead – £27,200 p.a. full-time (or job-share)

We are currently looking for a Project Lead to head up our lottery-funded project to develop the skills, knowledge and confidence of young people with muscle-weakening conditions, and engage them in campaigning work to tackle the social barriers they face. Virtual Office Manager – £24,500-£26,325 p.a. (pro-rata), 16 hours per week

We are currently recruiting for a Virtual Office Manager to play a key role in supporting the CEOs and the charity with administration and virtual office support. The Virtual Office Manager will ensure the smooth running of the charity enabling the CEOs to focus on staff management, strategic development and leadership. All staff in Pathfinders operate fully remotely without an office space. The Virtual Office Manager will be responsible for facilitating the continued operation of Pathfinders online and via cloud IT systems.

Project and Campaigns Assistant – £24,500 p.a. (pro-rata) 25 hours per week

We are currently recruiting a part-time Project and Campaigns Assistant to support a 4-year project funded by the national lottery to develop the skills, knowledge and confidence of young people with muscle-weakening conditions, and engage them in campaigning work to tackle the social barriers they face. The Projects and Campaigns Assistant will be responsible for providing administrative support to the project, social media engagement and supporting members with campaign activity on a range of issues.

Communication and Outreach Associate – Kickstart (min wage), 25 hours per week

For candidates aged 18-24 currently claiming Universal Credit only

This is for a Kickstart funded role working on external communications and outreach. We are recruiting for someone passionate about improving opportunities for people with muscle-weakening conditions through building connections with other people and organisations, whilst also engaging confidently 1:1 with our membership. The Communication and Outreach Associate will support with developing our outreach material, working with other team members across their projects, and presenting a public face for Pathfinders Neuromuscular Alliance.

Social Media and Digital Creation Associate – Kickstart (min wage), 25 hours per week

For candidates aged 18-24 currently claiming Universal Credit only

This is for a Kickstart funded role working across our social media and digital creation tools. We are recruiting for someone passionate about having fun on social media, who is digitally confident, and happy using tools such as Canva and Smarterqueue to manage a professional, fast-moving, and engaged social media presence for the organisation. As well as working with us on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram, you will develop new ways of engaging members with strong, branded visual content, as well as exciting social media. You will also advise other teams of how they can make their social media and advertising  more engaging, and support across the team with scheduling and posting to social media.

There are a range of volunteering roles available within Pathfinders Neuromuscular Alliance. Whether you are interested in policy development, social media, websites, or campaigning, there is a place for you.

As a user led organisation we are passionate about involving our members as volunteers. Social Media Ambassadors

Pathfinders is looking for enthusiastic volunteers to contribute to our social media. The role involves using web blogs plus a variety of social media and similar tools to create regular content, respond to conversations, build a sense of community between members and develop a strong network of relationships between Pathfinders, public, private and charitable organisations. This role can be done from home.

Pathfinders Representatives

Volunteer to help us with individual campaigns, such as our work on developing consistent standards of care for adults. This may involve blogging or tweeting about a campaign, or attending important meetings to represent adults with neuromuscular disorders.

Volunteer Researchers/Authors

We are currently looking for volunteers to help us compile articles and blogs on a range of key daily living topics. You will be required to research topics using internet resources, clinical advice and discussions with our members and compile these into information resources.
