Skills for Care have awarded Pathfinders a further grant for our training for PA employers and PAs. With this, we will employ an Independent Living Training and Development Officer. They will deliver our ground-breaking online training programmes for PA employers and PAs across the next nine months.

We are currently recruiting for a role managing this project and designing and delivering the employer and PA training. Working from our incredible video modules, the Training and Development Officer (Independent Living) will create training packages for employers and for PAs. These will go beyond the video content to create rounded, engaging, interactive sessions for people with a range of experience. These video modules cover everything from recruitment and conflict for PA employers to posture, swallowing, sex and relationships for PAs. These courses will equip people with high support needs and their PAs to work together confidently and effectively.

The training courses will be available for PA Employers and PAs to take for free. They are designed to improve their skills and networking with other people, to maximise the benefits of direct payments and independent living resources.

If you are passionate about social care and independent living, confident designing and delivering training sessions, and able to manage a complex project with many moving parts, please read the information pack about the role.
