Independent Living Training & Development Officer, an mage advertising that we are recruiting for a role training PA/carers and employers

Skills for Care: Training PA/carers and Employers

At Pathfinders, we’re passionate about people having high-quality care. That’s why we’ve designed a ground-breaking programme training PA/carers and employers (or people who want to employ their own PAs and carers). These video training modules have been designed and developed by people with neuromuscular conditions themselves. We’re now recruiting for people to run the live, online training.

The job is on a contract until the end of March. It is either 14 or 18 hours per week on average. This is all entirely remote, but will include delivering training online at evenings and weekends. The pay is £27,200 FTE.

Interested in finding out more?

Are you engaging, communicative, and good at managing a complex project? Do you like the idea of training PAs and carers, or people who use PAs and carers? If so, you might be interested in one of the two jobshare roles on offer designing and delivering our Skills for Care – funded training. This is for a wide range of people with muscle-weakening conditions and other disabilities, and PAs who support, or might want to, support us.

In this role, you’ll be designing, marketing, scheduling and delivering the training. Your day will be very varied. Sometimes this will look like registering people to attend a training, or following up with them to find out how it was. On another day, you will be managing the project – planning when you’re delivering what training – or indeed planning out how to run the training. Sometimes you’ll be delivering the training to an active, engaged group of participants.
